How to clean an enamel whiteboard?

e3 CeramicSteel enamel surfaces are GUARANTEED FOR LIFE and therefore designed to resist the daily demands of heavy use and to offer exceptional writing performance and superior erasing power (unlimited number of erasures). They are resistant to scratches, stains and discoloration. Your board will stay as good as new if you use and maintain it properly.

CLEANING

When using your e3 enamel board for the FIRST TIME (after removing the protective film) and as soon as the surface of the board (marke, projection or screen white) is DIRTY:

  • Rinse the surface with clean water to remove all residues with a scrubbing sponge or your damp microfibre cloth. Surfaces that are not often used should be cleaned two to three times a week. More frequently used surfaces may require daily cleaning.
  • Wipe the surface with a clean microfibre cloth.

ERASING

  • MARKER WHITE ENAMEL : dry wipe the surface with a clean microfibre cloth or eraser. Replace the eraser felt regularly: a dirty eraser makes erasing poor. PROJECTION WHITE ENAMEL : wipe the surface with a damp microfibre cloth. MATT SCREEN WHITE ENAMEL : erase the surface with water.
  • The use of an inappropriate cleaner may result in poor erasure due to the accumulation of residue on the surface.
  • Erase permanent marker: write over it with an erasable marker and then erase. In most cases, the marker will leave. If a thorough cleaning is necessary: Dampen a clean microfiber cloth with gasoline F, wipe the surface with circular movements to dissolve marker residue and especially rinse with clean water before wiping with a clean microfiber cloth.
  • Use quality dry erase markers with alcohol-based ink (avoid markers with a low odour and too greasy ink) to make erasing easier. Make sure to store them horizontally. Replace the markers before they are completely dry to avoid poor erasure.

ACCESSORIES

  • Chemical cleaners are often not necessary. Therefore we recommend a microfibre cloth, washable and reusable many times, for effective cleaning / wiping wether it is dry, wet or water-based with a water spray; a felt wiper for dry wiping.
  • Special microfibre cloth for writing boards ref. 6800462
